Testing Dyneema^® products for armor solutions

Continuous product innovation, shared expertise in product development and uncompromised quality control define DSM Dyneema.

We bring these activities together through our Technical Centers, which are located near our production sites across the world and provide a level of quality that is truly consistent, wherever our customers may be.

Product testing: Dyneema^® materials are tested for production quality, as well as for application integrity. We continuously test product properties such as strength in controlled situations.

Application testing: Dyneema^® UD material developed for armor solutions is tested in accordance with the ultimate applications. For example:

• Ballistic threats: Dyneema^® SB and Dyneema^® HB materials and finished components can be tested at our Technical Centers according to STANAG and NIJ protocols.
• Knife threats: Dyneema^® SB products are tested for stab resistance. This is in accordance with the HOSDB (Home Office Scientific Development Branch) criteria,
  the standard used for vests in the UK.
